How to Make Kava | Your Preparation Guide

Traditional Method

Supplies you will need:

  1. Bowl
  2. Hot Water
  3. Strainer Bag
  4. Premium Medium Grind Kava

 

Estimated prep time: 25 minutes.

Step 1:

Measure the appropriate amount of kava and place it into your strainer bag.

Use 2-4 tablespoons (10-20 grams) per person.

Adjust the amount of kava or water you’re mixing with to find your perfect ratio!

Step 2:

For your own safety, please use water that is a safe handling temperature.

Place the strainer bag in a bowl and pour the water into the strainer bag. 

Close bag and let kava steep for 5-10 minutes

Step 3:

Knead kava for 10-15 minutes

 

Step 4:

The most IMPORTANT step:

Chill and enjoy!

 

Blender Method

Supplies you will need:

  1. Blender
  2. Hot Water
  3. Strainer Bag
  4. Premium Medium Grind Kava

 

Estimated prep time: 5-10 minutes.

Step 1:

Measure the appropriate amount of kava and place it into your blender.

Use 2-4 tablespoons (10-20 grams) of kava per person and 1 cup of hot water per 2 tablespoons of dry kava.

Adjust the amount of kava or water you’re mixing with to find your perfect ratio!

Blending boiling water is dangerous. Please ensure water is not too hot or boiling.

Step 2:

Blend 2-3 minutes.
